Communicating Sustainability in the Jewelry Industry

Stefania Tessari

The presentation explores the topic of sustainability communication in the jewellery industry, examining how companies can effectively and credibly communicate their ESG journey in the context of transparency requirements, European regulations and stakeholder expectations. Through the case of LEGOR Group (which will be anonymised or, alternatively, replaced with another corporate case supported by ESGCapital), the presentation will illustrate the experience of preparing an integrated report and the evolution of the standards adopted, from the GRI Standards to the new VSME framework. The session will also address issues such as greenwashing, ESG reporting and upcoming regulatory developments, with the aim of highlighting how authentic sustainability communication can become a strategic driver of competitiveness and value creation in the jewellery industry.
