Desirée Binternagel, CEO of Fairever, Member of the European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) With years of experience in precious metals trading, Desirée has established herself as an expert in the industry who has found her purpose in promoting responsible sourcing practices. After Desirée finished her masters degree in American Studies with a focus on gender and social injustice, she first found herself working in the high-fashion industry. In 2016, she started working as a gold trader for a German mint. When Desirée met Florian Harkort, the founder of Fairever, she knew she found her purpose in fighting for the protection of the environment and for social justice through the concept of fair trade. At Fairever, Desirée can combine her experience from the high-fashion industry and the gold trading business by working with bespoke jewelers to support them in their journey towards sustainability.
